Lotus Notes on Ubuntu LinuxHomelsxldap bug....

More on Ubuntu

Keith Strickland Jul 19, 2007 Tags:Linux 427 Views 0 Comments

OK, after using Ubuntu for a few days now I think I'm gonna stick with it for awhile. I like the looks, speed and apps. The only downside I've found so far is that I can't even install the couple of games I play every now and then but I'll get over it.

I'm using the Firefox browser which works good, however I don't think the automatic upgrades are working, I really just need to check to see if it's turned on in the options. OpenOffice is fulfilling my needs in that area, I'm able to use the Lotus Notes clients and I can get to my existing data on the windows partition, thumb drives, pictures from my SD Cards, etc. So, there really is no need for anything else, other than like I said earlier, to use windows for gaming.

I think this really is for the better, the more I can get away from Windows the better, hopefully one day the games I like to play will be ported for Linux (doubtful).

Keith
